Bio

As an author, speaker, and pastor of healing prayer, I have a passion for helping people encounter God and His goodness in the midst of trials and be empowered and set free to live out their destiny. My own life changed dramatically after a breast cancer diagnosis in 1999. My deepest desire is to share how God restored and transformed me and to give away what I have freely received.

I am the author of Grace for Each Hour: Through the Breast Cancer Journey (Bethany House, 2005), Hope for Tough Times (Revell, 2009), Peace for Each Hour (Comfort Publishing, 2012), Jehovah-Rapha: The God Who Heals (Shiloh Run Press, 2016), Praying for the Cure: A Powerful Prayer Guide for Comfort and Healing from Cancer (Shiloh Run Press, 2016), and Jehovah-Jireh: The God Who Provides (Shiloh Run Press, 2017).  I write to inspire those suffering from cancer, broken relationships, unemployment, financial failure, or any devastating loss to draw close to Jesus, the only answer to every human need. For those who have survived cancer, my heart is to help them overcome their fears so they put the crisis behind them and live victoriously. My own cancer experience led me to found Pray for the Cure, a cancer healing and discipleship ministry at Hosanna! Church in Lakeville MN, where I was commissioned as a pastor of prayer in 2011.  Through my outreach ministries, I provided church consulting on prayer and leadership, pastoral care to hurting people, and spiritual aftercare to cancer survivors. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Howie, for 46 years and we are blessed with two adult children and two grandchildren. As retired empty nesters and snowbirds, we spend our summers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area where we enjoy family and friends, golfing, fishing and boating, and our winters making new friends and playing in the Florida sunshine.
